As with any venture of eternal worth, there must be a
vision for the future. VCS is no exception. The Bible tells
believers to “write the vision down and run with it.” So with this
page on the school's web site the VCS Directors wish to share with
the viewer the VISION.
For VCS its particular vision is much greater
than it simply being a “school”. To simplify the matter an acronym
has been written for easy remembrance. It reads
thus:
Victory in Jesus-
always!
Individualized
training and
discipleship!
Systematic
approach to life-long
learning!
Instruction is
ideas which count for
eternity!
Obedience to, and
trust in,
GOD!
Nurturing souls for a bright
future!
As the reader has seen by viewing the full
spectrum of “The Roots”, “The Place”, “The Plan” and “The People”,
all of it constitutes part of “The Vision”.
VCS truly has become a far-reaching ministry,
not “just a school”. Since December 1980, at its conception, through
its gestation period and all the years to the present, VCS, as an
outreach of Victory Systems Project, plays a vital roll in the
thousands of lives it has touched. With its active Regents and
Advisory Councils, and the Standing Committees of Pageant of
Learning, Public Relations and Senior Class Activities, as well as
its staff, consisting of those who work in the office, and on the
web site, VCS has become a lighthouse of encouragement for home
school families.
One of the basic premises that brings VCS
associate Families into “The Vision” is that the founders of VCS, as
well as those who they work with, are exhorted to “never despise
small beginnings” in which the larger vision grows and matures
becoming a vital force in generations to come, proving that VCS is
the quiet but dynamic school which is making a difference in the
lives of its students. |
